Scheduled servicing
Car letting you know your service is now due? The service we perform meets or exceeds the manufacturer’s standards as specified in your log book, all at significantly lower cost than the dealers.

Ammstar is a licensed automotive air conditioning repairer, and solves all kinds of heating, cooling and ventilation issues! Time, Kilometre or condition based service items
Items like spark plugs, transmission services, and and air filter replacement are all items that may be due at different services. As we perform our service, we note these items that are due and provide you with a quote. We would never just perform these jobs without your approval!
Tyres
There is no need to drive all over town looking for tyre deals, we can supply and fit a range of tyres on the day of your service if required, all at competitive prices. From top end Continental and Pirelli tyres to lower cost alternatives, we can provide you with with an option to suit any model.
Warranty Interim service
If you have purchased a second hand vehicle that comes with an extended warranty plan, you often need to service your car a little more frequently than is recommended by the manufacturer. We can perform an interim service if necessary to keep your warranty valid, and costs down.
Major repairs
Our workshop is equipped to handle all kinds of major repairs in-house such as an engine overhaul, balance shaft replacement, complete engine reseal, EGR cooler replacement, cylinder head reconditioning or a complete transmission rebuild.
Brake replacement
A brake warning light or message is usually an indication that your brakes are wearing low. Whether it be brake pads, brake discs or both, we use a range of genuine and high quality OEM parts to ensure the brakes we replace operate as perfectly as when your car was new.
Pre Purchase inspection
If you are looking at purchasing a second hand vehicle we strongly advise having a pre purchase inspection. Our checks can uncover a great deal about a car such as a poor service history, bad accident repair or something that is being covered up! Our test might just save you from making a purchase you would otherwise regret!
Suspension
Hearing a squeak while driving over speed humps, or a knock when reversing out your driveway? From complex hydraulic and air suspension systems to simple bush or ball joint replacements, we have the skill to correctly diagnose and repair any worn or failed suspension component.
End of warranty check
Coming out of warranty soon? Be sure to get your car inspected before the warranty period ends. We can alert you to any issues that should be covered under your new car warranty.
Diagnosis
Cars have become very complex, and while diagnostic equipment can help identify faults quickly, it still takes a skilled diagnostician to get it right. Luckily, Ammstar’s experienced Mercedes-Benz mechanics have great skill in this area. We work systematically and with structure, solving problems is our forte!
Control unit replacement
Vehicles of today have multiple computers, controlling almost every aspect of the car. Many of these parts require programming and special initialisation. We have the tools and skills to diagnose, replace, program and code almost every control unit fitted to your vehicle.
